A Levelland ISD Bus was involved in an accident over the lunch hour today. According to Superintendent Kelly Baggett no students were on the bus at the time of the accident.
Baggett stated that the bus was traveling in the intersection of Cactus and Sherman in Levelland when the bus left the road and jumped the curb ramming into the house on the northeast corner of Sherman and Cactus. The bus driver had to be removed from the bus by jaws of life and was transported to the hospital.
There was significant damage to the house and bus according to officials at the scene. Levelland Police are still working to investigate and determine what caused the accident.
