Keep Levelland Beautiful has announced the date of their first Community Wide Clean-up for 2023. On Saturday, April 1st the clean up will proceed as normal, with volunteers meeting at the Best western in town at 9a. Breakfast will be provided, and tools distributed before cleaning up various portions of the Highway. In the past, this events has cleaned hundreds of pounds of waste from the surrounding area, as well as involved dozens of members of the community. In addition, this year KLB will be running an electronic recycling event at the same time to help citizens get rid of unwanted electronics without throwing them in a landfill. Starting at 9 a truck will be located at the Chamber of Commerce at 1101 Ave. H to accept anything specified on the City’s website: https://www.levelland.com/recycling . It is a first come, first serve event, as there is only so much space in the truck, however the City’s recycling trailer will also be present, and Lion’s Club volunteers will be accepting eyeglasses at this time as well.
