Levelland Fire Teams Answer The Call

Yesterday evening while getting some face time with the community during National Night Out, Levelland Fire Department still had calls to be answered and services to render. Around 8pm they received a call asking for medical assistance from EMS in the 200 block of West Avenue in town. Fire teams quickly deployed to the location and provided lift assistance for a patient transferring from a nursing home bed to a medical stretcher. Afterwards teams returned to the station, though that would not be their only call for the evening. A couple of hours later around 10:30, teams were called to the 3000 block of Highway 385, this time for assistance for the Sheriff’s Office. HCSO had requested their assistance in locating a possible missing individual at the rest stop along North 385, as it was growing dark. Fire teams utilized thermal cameras to search for the individual but to no avail. Units were cleared from the scene and returned once again to the station.
