Levelland Fire Department received a call from the Levelland PD dispatch in reference to a mutual aid request made by the Anton Volunteer Fire Department. AVFD requested Levelland FD to respond to a fully involved vehicle fire that spread into a CRP grass field. Three units responded however while in route PD dispatch advised Levelland FD units to cancel the response via AVFD. They stated that no CRP grass was on fire and Levelland FD was no longer needed.
