Levelland PD 1st Color Fun Run

The race begins with a plume of colored smoke

Saturday morning, Levelland PD had their first ever Color Fun Run to round out Law Enforcement week. The event, a themed 5k run, was set to start at Breshear lake by SPC. Registration booths, as well as an activity tent fro kids were set up at 7:45, with the race starting at 9. Police Chief Garcia gave a brief speech beforehand thanking our law enforcement and first responders. The run took participants from breshear lake, across town to the high school, then back again, with several “color stations” along the way with volunteers throwing colored chalk as the runners came through. Levelland PD hopes to make this event an annual occurrence to raise awareness and support for local law enforcement.

Chief Garcia carries the PD Flag across the finish line!
