Texas DPS Executes Arrest Warrant at Levelland Residence

Texas Department of Public Safety special agents along with the Lubbock Police Department SWAT team and Levelland Police responded to a residence in the 100 Block of Hickory in Levelland to serve a warrant on a wanted subject who had barricaded himself inside.

According to DPS, officers responded to execute a warrant on 41 year old Ruben Flores, Jr. Flores was wanted on a bond surrender out of Hockley County, parole violation, evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams. He is also listed as a confirmed West Texas Gang Member and was listed on the Top 10 wanted fugitives for the Texas Anti Gang unit.

DPS reports indicate that officers made contact with Flores’ girlfriend outside the home who told them Flores was not in the home. Lubbock County SWAT team made entry into the home and located Flores who had barricaded himself inside the home. Flores was arrested and transported to the Hockley County Jail, he is being held on a $25,000 bond for the Hockley County warrant and no bond for the parole violation.

The female at the residence, Jessica Rodriguez, 23 was also arrested on a charge of hindering apprehension of a felon along with local warrants. she is being held on a bond of $5,000 for hindering apprehension and $260 each for the local warrants.
