Woman Sentenced to Federal Prison And Ordered to Pay Restitution

Jennifer Leigh Bryson, has been sentenced to 42 months in Federal Prison on a charge of Interstate Transfer of Stolen Property. The charge was handed down by US District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, James Hendrix. She has also been ordered to pay restitution of approximately $600,000 to West Plains Veterinary Clinic.

Bryson entered a guilty plea in May, 2019 to the charge and was indicted by a Hockley County Grand Jury in December, 2019.

According to court documents, Bryson knowingly transmitted stolen money in May, 2015 from Levelland to Tampa, FL. Court records indicate that Bryson worked for West Plains Veterinary Clinic from August, 2011 to May, 2015. Court documents noted that a review of the banking records indicated that Bryson had made unauthorized payments from the West Plains business account to several companies through the years leading up to May, 2015.

Bryson was ordered to report to begin her prison sentence no later than 2:00 pm on March 11th, 2021.
