The Texas Department of State Health Services released case counts for Hockley County Friday evening.
The Texas Department of State Health Services reported 93 new cases of COVID-19 between Monday, January 4th and Friday, January 7th. They also reported 9 additional probable cases, 8 new deaths and 61 new recoveries this week.
Based on the new information, Hockley County has a total of 1,805 cases of COVID-19 with 87 deaths, 1,712 recoveries and 201 probable cases leaving 207 active cases.
The hospitalization rate for Trauma Service Area B which Hockley County is a part of is at 20.69% as of Friday.
