Levelland Police Investigate Two Separate Thefts from Local Convenience Stores

Levelland police are investigating a theft from the Stripes Convenience Store on West Avenue. According to police reports, police were advised that two employees were working at the time of the theft. One of the employees was outside while the other was working inside. A customer in the store told the employee inside that a male suspect in the store had stuck a bottle of alcohol in the back of his shorts and employees saw him exit the building without paying. The cashier inside, ran outside and yelled at him to stop, he refused. The suspect is described as a male subject wearing grey shorts and a black shirt.

Store personnel supplied surveillance video to police and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Levelland Police Department continues their investigation.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Levelland Police Department is also investigating a gas drive off from Allsup’s Convenience Store in the 200 Block of College Avenue in Levelland. The driver of vehicle reportedly pumped $25 of gas and drove off. He was located by police in the 2400 Block of McHam Drive. The suspect told police he did pump the gas and used his debit card but did not get a receipt. He was to supply police with a statement from the bank this week.
