Ag Professional of the Year Recognized at Shrimp Boil

The Ag Committee of the Levelland Chamber of Commerce hosted their Shrimp Boil today to recognize the Ag producers in Levelland and Hockley County.

During the lunch event, the committee recognized the 2020 Ag Professional of the Year. This years Ag Professional is Mark Foster of Levelland. Foster grew up on the South Plains and graduated from Klondike High School. He went on to attend South Plains College and Texas Tech University. He worked for Wilbur-Ellis in Levelland from 1984 to 2016 when he joined the sales team at Americot, Inc. in Levelland.

Kody Bessent, Vice President of Operations and Legislative Affairs with Plains Cotton Growers was the guest speaker for the event and provided an update on assistance programs for ag producers.
