The Texas Department of State Health Services has confirmed an additional case of COVID-19 in Hockley County and a one new recovery.
Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge was notified late Tuesday of the 24th case of COVID-19 in Hockley County. According to the Department of State Health Services, it is in a Levelland resident between the ages of 20 and 30. No further information has been released, it is under investigation. They also confirmed an additional recovery, bringing total recoveries to 16.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Hockley County to 24 with 16 recoveries and 1 death, leaving seven active cases. Five of the active cases are in Levelland residents and the remaining two are in Sundown residents.
