Hockley County Sheriff’s Office Executes Warrant, Makes Arrest in Drug Case

Deputies from the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant Thursday afternoon at a residence in the 1200 block of Avenue L in Levelland for suspected narcotics activity.

Deputies had originally received a tip on the address for a person wanted on a felony warrant. While conducting the investigation, probable cause was obtained to seek a search warrant for the residence. Approximately 45 grams of a liquid containing methamphetamine was found in the residence along with miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

According to information released by Hockley County Sheriff Ray Scifres, the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.

Patrick Estrada, 33 of Levelland was arrested at the residence and charged with Possession of a controlled substance-penalty group 1. He remains in the Hockley County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
