Twenty-Five Schools on the South Plains have been awarded a grant to help the districts purchase high demand career training equipment for career and technical education programs. Levelland ISD received a grant through the program, partially funded through a donation from the Levelland Economic Development Corporation.
$792,742.65 total was awarded to the area schools. Workforce Solutions of the South Plains have been working with schools in this area the past several years. Chief Executive Officer, Martin Aguirre said “this money is an investment towards students success.”
The money is used to purchase equipment, in order to multiply the impact according to Workforce Solutions of the South Plains.
