Special Agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety executed two search warrants in Levelland last week and arrest two people.
DPS Special Agents executed a search warrant Thursday morning in the 1700 Block of McKinley. Agents located one person inside the residence. The suspect was identified as Debbie Saenz, 57. Agents located two bags containing 22 grams of methamphetamine inside a handbag in the residence which also had identifying information for Saenz. She was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance. She remains in the Hockley County Jail, she is being held on a $15,000 bond.
Special Agents also executed a search warrant in the 1500 Block of 1st Street. Agents located Bryce Ellison, 33 inside the residence which is actually vacant property. Ellison was located in a silver trailer in the backyard. There was no record of utilities to the property in a number of years. Ellison had tapped into the power supply of a neighboring building in the 1600 Block of 1st Street. Officers located an extension cord running power to the property. The extension cord was sparking and the Levelland Fire Department was called to the scene. Xcel Energy was also dispatched to the scene and disconnected power to the property. Ellison was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief, interrupting or impeding public service. He was transported to the Hockley County Jail. He remains in the Hockley County Jail on a bond of $2,500.
