Levelland Police Respond to a Variety of Calls

Levelland police are currently investigating the theft of a firearm. Officers were called to K-Bar Texas Electric to meet with an employee who stated that he had purchased a 12 gauge pump action shotgun approximately four months ago and placed it in a storage building at his parent’s house in the 100 block of Elgin in Levelland. He stated that he went to the building on Sunday to retrieve the firearm and could not locate it.

He was able to provide the serial number to police and it was entered into the stolen firearm database. This case is currently being investigated.

Police are also investigating a case of criminal mischief in 1000 block of Avenue K. Police were called to the residence Monday evening. The homeowner reported that for the third time this month someone had shot their daughter’s bedroom window out with a BB gun. Police noted in the report that no one was injured. The family feels they are being targeted for some reason. The criminal investigation division of the Levelland Police Department has taken over the investigation.
