The Levelland Police were called to the United Supermarkets Saturday evening where management had detained a suspect for shop lifting.
Officers responded to United Supermarkets Saturday eveing where the Assistant Manager had intercepted a suspect and detained him on the west side of the building past all points of sale, with items from the store that he did not pay for. The suspect was sitting in a chair in the office when police arrived, during an initial pat down, officers found a knife and it was destroyed with the permission of the suspect. The items stolen included fake nails and nail glue valued at approximately $11.00. The suspect admitted to stealing the items, saying he did not intend to pay for them as he only had a Lone Star card. Officers conducted a Criminal History Check on the suspect, revealing a prior conviction of theft.
Based upon the circumstances, Adrian Conde, 42 was arrested and charged with Theft of Property, less then $100 with previous convictions. The suspect was also issued a criminal trespass warning from United Supermarkets property at the request of the business.
