The Olton Volunteer Fire Department Chief believes the three house fires which occurred early Friday morning was the act of Arson.
The first call came in to the Olton Volunteer Fire Department at just after 3:00 am for a house fire on Avenue G in Olton, at approximately 3:30 am firefighters were called to a second house fire on Main Street in Olton. The second fire quickly spread to a neighboring house. Both of those homes were destroyed. The home on Avenue G was said to have suffered extensive exterior damage.
Firefighters from neighboring agencies responded to assist. At least 50 firefighters assisted in battling the fires. Crews actively fought the the three fires for over six hours.
The investigation continues with the Texas Fire Marshall’s office.
