Arrest Made Following Fight at 62/82 Music Fest in Ropes

Three off duty Levelland Police officers make arrest following fight at music fest in Ropes this past weekend.

A Levelland officer working security at the 62/82 Music Fest in Ropes this weekend was informed by a bystander of someone fighting with another individual while standing on the north side of the crowd near the stage area. The officer made his way through the crowd and located the suspect. The officer instructed the suspect to come with him, however the suspect, walked away from the officer. The officer pulled the suspect out of the crowd while he resisted. Another two officers arrived to assist, the 17 year old was finally detained. It was noted that the first responding officer noted the suspects eyes were red and he smelled a strong odor of alcohol.

The 17 year old was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Hockley County Jail.
