Special Agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Levelland Police and officers with the Texas Anti-Gang Center conducted a street level operation and arrested 10 people in Levelland late last week.
Levelland Police made an arrest Thursday morning around 3:30 am following a traffic stop. Jonathan Allen Perryman, 37 of Oklahoma City was arrested on various charges. The officer made contact with the man after observing a fictitious license plate on a vehicle, the registration sticker on the vehicle was also fake. Perryman told police that he had just bought the vehicle and it was that way when he got it. Following a search police located methamphetamine, marijuana and identifying documents as well as financial information belonging to someone else. Perryman was arrested and charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair an investigation, possession of a controlled substance, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, forgery, tampering with a government record, displaying fictitious license plate, failure to identify or giving false information, and possession of marijuana, bond was set at a combined $17,500 for all charges.
Mark Lucio, 38 and Porfiro Beltran, 37 were arrested on Thursday by DPS troopers and Levelland Police for felon in possession of a firearm. They were booked into the Hockley County Jail, Beltran has since been released on bond, Lucio was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, he is being held on a combined $7,000 bond.
Officers with the Levelland Police Department arrested David Zuniga, 34 on a parole violation warrant Wednesday night, he is being held without bond in the Hockley County Jail.
Michael Gonzales, 27 was arrested on Wednesday by Levelland Police on a charge of Sexual Assault, bond was set at $25,000, he remains in the Hockley County Jail.
Raymond Cortez, 54 and Angelica Cortez, 22 were both arrested by Levelland Police and DPS late Thursday night. Raymond was arrested and charged with forgery. Angelica was arrested and charged with Fraudulent use of identifying information and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at a combined $5,000 for Angelica and she remains in the Hockley County Jail. Raymond remains in the Hockley County Jail on a bond of $5,000.
DPS made a traffic stop Wednesday in the vicinity of Austin and Avenue P in Levelland. They arrested Kristi Barron, 29 on charges of driving with a suspended license and fradulent use or possession of identifying information. She remains in the Hockley County Jail on bonds totaling $3,500.
DPS officers also made another traffic stop on Wednesday in Levelland near Houston and Avenue R. Michael Braddock, 40 was arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, forgery, displaying fictitious motor vehicle registration, possession of marijuana and three charges of possession of a dangerous drug. He is being held in the Hockley County jail on bonds totaling $33,000. DPS also said that Braddock is a confirmed member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas.
A traffic stop was also made Wednesday night near 10th and Avenue K in Levelland and arrests were made for various drug charges. Raymundo Rodriguez and the passenger Melodie rodriguez were both arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Melodie also had a warrant for a parole violation. She remains in the Hockley County jail, held without bond on the parole violation. Raymundo Rodriguez has since been released on bond.
