Texas Department of Public Safety Officers executed a search warrant at a Levelland business Friday following an illegal sale of synthetic urine to an undercover DPS officer.
Following the sale, officers executed a search warrant at JoJo’s Smokes and Cokes on west Houston street. DPS reports state that they recovered additional synthetic urine, which is used to pass drug tests, marijuana and additional products containing THC. Several cartons and packages of untaxed tobacco products which were available for sale were also seized by officers.
Consuelo Almager, the co-owner of the store was arrested and charged with delivery of a drug falsification device and possession of marijuana, less than two ounces. Additional charges are possible as the State Comptroller is currently investigating violations of the state sales tax code.
The case was investigated by DPS with the assistance of the Levelland Police Department, Hockley County Attorney’s office and the 286th District Attorney’s office.
