
The Texas Department of Public Safety served several warrants in Levelland last week and made several arrests, according to reports released over the weekend.
Texas DPS served three different search warrants for various drug offenses in Levelland and arrested several people on Thursday of last week. The first warrant was served at 6:00 am Thursday morning in the 600 block of Austin street. The subject agents were looking for was not home at the time. As a result, agents recovered several identifying pieces of information. The case remains under investigation.
DPS also served another warrant in the 100 block of Walnut. Agents recovered approximately eight grams of methamphetamine and a half ounce of marijuana from the residence. Agents arrested Jackie Scott McMillan, 61 on charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than two ounces and possession of dangerous drugs. She remains in the Hockley County Jail on bonds totaling $13,000.
A third search warrant was served in the 200 block of Avenue T. Jennifer Chavez, 36 was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance between one and four grams. Michael Shane Price, 32 was arrested on an outstanding child support warrant. It was also discovered at this residence they were stealing water, so Chavez was subsequently charged with impeding a water utility. Chavez also was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia inside a correctional facility after a small amount of methamphetamine was found on an item of clothing when she was searched at the jail.
