EMS Director Receives Mark Beck Humanitarian Award

Covenant Levelland EMS Director Kay Armes was recently recognized by the South Plains Emergency Medical Services group with the Mark Beck Humanitarian Award.

South Plains EMS said the award recognizes the dedication and commitment to humanity as well as the dedication to patient care and service to the Emergency Medical Services field. Armes was presented the award for 2018 during the South Plains EMS annual meeting held earlier this month.

It was also announced that Levelland EMS received the Inaugural FE Shaheen award honoring a lifetime of service to the South Plains EMS region. Shaheen operated Levelland EMS for many years and served on the South Plains EMS board until his sudden death in August of 2017.

Kay Armes has given 25 years of service to Levelland EMS and has answered over 14,000 calls for service. Congratulations to Kay and Levelland EMS for the awards.
