Levelland native, Senior Navy Officer Ronny L. Jackson has been tapped as the Assistant to the President and Chief Medical Adviser.
The Washington Post reported Saturday that President Donald Trump had tapped Jackson for promotion to two star admiral and to be his Chief Medical Adviser. The article stated that an investigation is still open by the Pentagon into allegations of misconduct as a White House Physician, though the Pentagon would not release any further updates. Jackson was nominated for VA Secretary last year and withdrew his name from consideration following the allegations.
A new list of appointment released by the Washington Post Saturday lists Jackson as the Chief Medical Adviser to the President.
