The Abilene Police Department announced a person of interest in the murder of 20 year old Jeannie Quinn of Levelland. The crime happened in April of 2018 in a remote part of Abilene.

The family of Jeannie Quinn held a news conference in Abilene Wednesday. The uncle of Jeannie, John Quinn spoke on behalf of the family saying, “we are here grieving and fighting for justice for Jeannie.”

The family is demanding answers and says they will not allow the Abilene Police Department to let the case grow “cold.” The family is offering a cash reward for any information leading to an arrest in the case.

The Abilene Police Department asks that anyone with any information call a dedicated line they have set up specifically for this case at
(325) 676-6598. Callers may remain anonymous.

Ricky Don Henderson of Levelland was named as a person of interest in the case, however, the Abilene Police say they do not have the evidence necessary for an arrest. Sgt. Will Ford of the Abilene Police Department asks that anyone with any information on the case, regardless how small, contact their office, adding, “We welcome any and all information.”

Quinn was last seen with an older white male, in a 2011 Toyota Tundra pickup according to police. The pickup was owned by Henderson at the time. When asked if they were close to making an arrest, Sgt. Ford said “not as close as we would like to be, their is a lack of evidence.”
