Levelland Police announced Thursday that an arrest warrant has been issued for Chris Sanchez, 18 of Levelland.  Sanchez is believed to be involved in the burglary from Wednesday morning, October 24th and may also have been involved in the burglary on Friday, October 19th and other burglaries being investigated by police currently.

The break in on Wednesday at Atchison Jewelry was discovered by a Levelland officer on routine patrol in the downtown area.  Police entered the building and cleared the building before allowing the owners inside.  Police said that a “kettle ball weight” was found inside the business and police say it was likely used to break the front door of the business and a display case inside the store in which an undetermined amount of jewelry was taken.  Police said Thursday that they were notified early Wednesday morning that someone stole a kettle ball weight from the Levelland Wal-Mart.  Police pulled surveillance video from Wal-Mart and was able to identify Sanchez.

Levelland Police ask that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sanchez contact their office at 894-6164.
