Levelland Police report that an officer discovered that the store had been burglarized around 5:30 am when doing a check of businesses.  It was discovered that someone had used a “kettle ball weight” to break the front door.  Levelland PD had several officers on the scene within minutes.  Officers entered the building and cleared it before allowing the owners in to the store.

According to police, the Criminal Investigation Division immediately responded and removed evidence from the scene and processed the scene.  It was reported that the same “kettle ball weight” was also used to break a display case inside the store.

On Friday, October 19th, someone threw a brick through safety glass in the front of the store and stole merchandise from inside a display case.  That incident triggered the glass breakage detector on the business security system.

Anyone with information on either of the break-ins is asked to call the Levelland Police Department at 894-6164.  Police are also working to obtain surveillance video from area security cameras.
