Representatives of StarCare of Lubbock were in Levelland Thursday night to educate the community on a new Outpatient clinic which will be in Levelland two times each month.
The new Outpatient Clinic will be housed in the Multi-Specialty clinic of Covenant Health Levelland. The clinic is located at 116-D John Dupree Drive in Levelland and will be open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on the third and forth Thursday of each month beginning on Thursday, October 18th. They will provide clinic services with a provider and physician’s assistant along with medication services, eligibility determinations and screening and assessments for substance abuse.
StarCare representatives said that currently child psychiatric services cannot be offered in Levelland, however, they are exploring options of using a Tele-Medicine setup to the Lubbock clinic in the future.
StarCare currently serves 85 residents from Levelland and 15 residents from Cochran County in their Lubbock clinic. They are excited to bring the services to the people of Hockley and Cochran County.
StarCare provides mental health services to 41 counties out of the Lubbock clinic with a goal of providing community based care, helping people stay in the community.
