City of Littlefield Residents are still being asked to only use water in an absolute emergency case.  The need arose when the back-up water supply line from Lubbock went down at the same time that the City of Littlefield main water distribution line east of town was down for repairs.

City of Littlefield utility crews worked until the late evening hours last night and was back at it by 7:00 am Wednesday morning working to make the repairs to the Main distribution line.  They estimate that work will be complete Wednesday afternoon.

According to information from the City of Littlefield, the emergency back-up water line from the City of Lubbock went down just as crews had taken the main water line for city water service was being repaired.

City crews ask that residents conserve water for extreme emergency use until repairs to the main water line have been completed Wednesday afternoon.
