Brownfield Police Investigate Deadly Shooting Tuesday Morning

letstalkBrownfield Police are investigating a shooting which occurred early Tuesday morning.

Brownfield Police Chief Tony Serbantez said the call came in around 12:15am of shots fired near North 3rd Street and West Ripley Street.  Reports indicate two people from Seagraves got into an altercation with a man from Brownfield.  According to Chief Serbantez a struggle ensued and witnesses report shots fired.  When police arrived they found two gunshot victims.  19 year old Jim Mojica of Brownfield suffered non life threatening injuries and was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment.  19 year old Evan Anderson of Seagraves was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound.

Police continue to investigate the incident and no arrests have been made as of yet.
