occupational training and worked based learning. LOC has partnered with several
community leaders to provide on-the-job training to our students to include City of
Levelland, Hockley County Senior Citizens, Levelland Academic Beginning Center

success of the program and students.

Project Search is a collaboration between Covenant Health Systems, Levelland ISD,
Frenship ISD, Lubbock-Cooper ISD, Texas Workforce Solutions, Vocational
Rehabilitation Services and Quest Employment Services. It is a one year internship to
explore a variety of career paths with a goal of competitive employment. The program
takes place at Covenant Health Hospital where total immersion in the workplace
facilitates the teaching and learning process as well as the acquisition of employability
and marketable work skills.

Jonathan K. Murphree is the son of Traci Murphree of Levelland. Nicholas K. Slone is
the son of Anita Parson of Anton. Hannah Smith-Morin is the daughter of Hilario Morin
and is raised by her sisters Victoria and Haili Morin. “These students have been
selected through a very stringent application process to be able to continue their
education as interns of Covenant Hospital in Lubbock,” Kathy Hutchinson, Special
Director of South Plains Educational Cooperative.
