Brownfield ISD Interim Superintendent Issues Statement Following Threat

Brownfield ISDBrownfield ISD Interim Superintendent Kelly Baggett released a statement following a threat being made towards other students in the district.

Baggett notified parents Monday night in writing on the school website, facebook page and by a skylert message.

Browfield ISD recently received word that a student had made a threat to cause harm to other students on Tuesday, February 27th.  Upon receiving the information, the high school immediately notified the school resource officer who immediately notified the Brownfield Police Department.  The Brownfield PD completed an investigation and determined their was no credible threat.  The police further said that the threat did not pose a threat to any students in Brownfield ISD.

Baggett said, since their is no credible threat, Brownfield ISD will have a regular class day on Tuesday.
