Xcel Energy Sends Lineman to Puerto Rico to Assist in Recovery Efforts

xcel energyXcel Energy has announced that a group of linemen left from the Lubbock Xcel Energy Service Center on Monday morning, they are bound for Puerto Rico to assist with recovery efforts.

A group of linemen, safety men and supervisors will all travel to Puerto Rico to work for 21 days.  They will be working to rebuild infrastructure for electric service, which was destroyed in September by Hurricane Maria.

The employees are from the Xcel Energy, Texas and New Mexico service area.  They are from the cities of Levelland, Lubbock, Littlefield, Plainview, Muleshoe, and Seminole.

Once this group returns home after the 21 days, Xcel will send another group from this area for another 21 day period.
