Texas Civil Commitment Patient Sentenced in Lamb County

letstalkA patient in the Texas Civil Commitment Center in Littlefield sentenced in District Court.  Cebero Ochoa was sentenced to 12 years in prison.  He was found guilty after a jury deliberated just over 10 minutes.  He was found guilty of tampering and fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.

The trial lasted less than one day.  Judge Felix Klein of the 154th District Court in Lamb County handed down the sentence.

According to the Asst. District Attorney, Ochoa was charged with concealing a piece of evidence used during an assault at the center in May, 2017.  Ochoa faced a wide range of sentencing, when you consider Ochoa’s prior history.
