klvtnewsbannerABILENE, TX:  Abilene police continue to investigate a traffic accident over the holiday weekend that injured seven.  Police say Catherine Randolph, 64 is among one of the seven hospitalized , however, once she receives medical clearance she could face multiple criminal charges.  She was driving a pickup when she failed to stop for a traffic light and rammed into the back of an SUV.  Two additional passengers in the pickup were injured and four occupants in the SUV were all injured.

PLAINVIEW, TX:  Hale County Commissioners have appointed former Chief Deputy for administration and patrol David Cochran as the next sheriff for Hale County.  He replaces current Sheriff David Mull who will officially retire on December 7.  It is expected that Cochran will be sworn in on December 8.

SWEETWATER, TX:  Sweetwater police are searching for two people involved in an active investigation.  Officers have declined to disclose the nature of the investigation however they are looking for a hispanic female, last seen wearing blue jeans, white shoes, and a striped coat.  If you have any information contact the Sweetwater police at (325)-236-6686.

CLOVIS, NM:  A major national defense bill, if passed and approved by the President, could bring a pay raise to airmen and over $50 million for construction projects at Cannon Air Force Base.   Of the $50 million sum, $42 million would go toward the construction of a new cargo pad for “combat arms training and maintenance” along with the attendant relocation of the current facilities.  An additional $8.2 million would then go to build a new aircraft ground equipment facility on the southeast side of the base.
