FAA Investigating Crop Duster Crash in Olton Tuesday Morning

Federal Aviation AdministrationThe Federal Aviation Administration will be in Olton to investigate a crop duster plane crash which occurred around 8:30am Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred approximately a quarter of a mile north of the intersection of US Highway 70 and FM 1842.  The Olton Enterprise said witnesses, reported seeing black smoke coming from the plane as it was flying over a field over FM 1842 right before the plane crashed.  The pilot was able to get out of the plane which was on fire.

The pilot was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital for serious injuries.
