Levelland Chamber Ag Committee to Host Shrimp Boil

letstalkThe Levelland Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee will host their Ag Producer Appreciation Shrimp Boil on Tuesday, September 26th beginning at 11:30am and ending at 1:00pm.  The event is being held in the Mallet Event Center.

Dan Hunter, Assistant Commissioner for the Texas Department of Agriculture will be the keynote speaker for the event.  Andy Hart, District 2-4H extension specialist with Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Lubbock will speak to all Hockley County 4-H and Whiteface 4-H students following the lunch on the importance of agriculture to this area.

The Shrimp boil is one of three projects done by the Ag Committee each year.  They will also be hosting an Ag Awareness tour on November 9.  The purpose of the tour is to stress the importance of agriculture in the area.
