Routine Traffic Stop by Hockley County Sheriff’s Deputies Leads to Meth Discovery

hockley-county-sheriffs-officeHockley County Sheriff’s Office Deputies made a routine traffic stop Thursday night and according to the Sheriff’s Office report they discovered 100 grams of methamphetamine.  The stop was made at the intersection of Hwy 114 and Hwy 385 in Levelland.

The subject will be charged with Possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.  Sheriff Ray Scifres said the suspect attempted to flee from deputies during the traffic stop.  The suspect is being uncooperative and thus far has refused to see a magistrate judge so his identity is being withheld.
