Morton Resident Leads Lubbock Police on Chase Thursday Night

letstalkTexas Department of Public Safety Troopers attempted to stop a motorcycle driven by Kaeden Taylor, 19 of Morton at the intersection of 98th and Ave. P in Lubbock Thursday night around 6:40pm.  Taylor refused to stop and led DPS and Lubbock Police on a brief 5 minute chase.  DPS reports indicate that Taylor wrecked the motorcycle around 82nd and Ave. S, he the fled on foot but was caught a short time later in a residential area.

Lubbock police said the motorcycle was reported stolen.  Taylor was taken into custody and was charged with evading with a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, unlawful restraint, burglary and evading on foot along with other warrants out of Lubbock PD and Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing.
