Hockley County Sheriff’s Office has released their activity report for January 19.
-1800 blk West 13th St: Burglary. A deputy was dispatched to a business where a burglary was reported. Several items were taken, including power tools. A report was completed and the investigation is in progress.
-1000 blk 10th St, Levelland: Agency Assist. An individual was transported to Lubbock for a mental health evaluation after a warrant was issued.
-3900 blk Sunrise Ln: Assault. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in reference to an assault. A report was completed, and no arrest was made at the time.
-2600 blk Robert Lee: Civil Complaint. A deputy was contacted regarding a civil issue involving a residence. Remedies were explained and the complainant was referred to the appropriate court.
-Norway Rd at Atlanta Rd: Agency Assist. Deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to a vehicle fire. Deputies responded to assist the fire department.
-400 blk Duke, Anton: Animal Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate an aggressive dog in the area. Deputies checked the area and did not locate the loose dog. Information was passed on to the Anton PD as well.
-1800 blk FM 300: Loose Livestock. Deputies were dispatched to the area regarding loose cattle near the roadway. The owner was contacted and the cattle were secured.
They also reported the Jail Population: As of 1/20/17 at 8am: 50 in Hockley County, 35 being housed out-of-county.
