Brownfield Police Search for 2 Suspects from Saturday Night Shooting

letstalkBrownfield Police are searching for 2 suspects which were involved in a shooting Saturday night, January 7 at a residence in the 700 block of Tate in Brownfield.

Brownfield Police Chief Tony Serbantez said a man carrying a rifle knocked on the door of a the residence and 22 year old Joe Fabila answered the door.  The 2 men fought for a time and Fabila was then shot.  Another resident in the home, 27 year old George Michael Martinez came out of the home to help and was shot also.  According to police the 2 suspects fled the scene and have not been located and are considered to be armed and dangerous.

The 2 victims were transported by ambulance to Brownfield Regional Medical Center and then transferred to a Lubbock hospital.  Both are currently listed in Regional Medical Center.

Police ask that anyone with any information please contact their office immediately and do NOT approach the suspects.  You may contact Brownfield Police at 637-2511.
