The Levelland ISD Board of Trustees met for a regular meeting on Thursday.
During the meeting trustees took action to approve the monthly financial report. Included in the report was the update bond finance report. The report indicates 2.9 Million dollars remaining to be spent, most of that has been budgeted for in pending projects. It was noted that the Ag Farm has 1 Million dollars budgeted. The Cactus campus also has $564,000 remaining to be spent. The Cactus campus will house special programs as well as the district Technology department.
The board also held a public hearing on the FIRST Financial accountability rating. The district scored a 90 out of possible 100 points and received a superior rating.
The board also approved bids for construction of the new Ag Farm facility. The bids totaled just over $570,000. An approximate 23% of the project will be done by local contractors. The estimated time of completion is 6-8 months.
The board also received a report on a recent safety audit which was recently performed for the district. Director of Administrative Services, Rodney Caddell said that the audit went well and the district performed well. It was noted their was some minor issues with proper signage which will be corrected.
The district also approved personnel matters prior to adjournment.
