Two Companies Expand in Lubbock and add nearly 600 jobs

The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance and Market Lubbock Inc. have announced the expansion of 2 companies in Lubbock expected to create 580 new jobs and $9.92 million in capital investments.

Severn Peanut company, a division of Meherrin Agriculture, is expanding its operations by opening a new food processing facility in Lubbock.  The company’s expansion will create 80 new jobs, with an $8.75 million capital investment.

VXI Global Solutions  also announced they will add 500 new jobs and add $1.17 million in capital investment to the Lubbock economy.

Severn Peanut Company has purchased a building in the Lubbock Rail Port, just north of the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.

VXI Global Solutions, which provides business process and information technology outsourcing services, has been in Lubbock since 2008 and currently employs 350.  They say the new jobs is due to new clients coming on board with VXI.
