Suspects were detained in a weekend vandalism and break in of Levelland High School. Director of Administrative Services for LISD, Rodney Caddell told KLVT News that the break in happened early Sunday morning.
He said the vandals broke the front out of a vending machine, however, did not steal any thing from the vending machine. They also entered into a classroom and poured a fine powder like substance all over the classroom and damaged a teacher’s personal property. He also said they entered the teacher lounge and work room area on the second floor of the building and squirted various condiment items including ketchup and mustard which they took from the refrigerator all over that room along with the library and other areas of the school. They also broke windows in the teacher lounge which overlooked the library. A computer monitor in the library was also damaged.
Caddell said that thanks to the quick action of the school resource officers and the Levelland Police Department along with security footage from the school security cameras police were able to detain the perpetrators and charges will be filed. All of the suspects were minors according to Caddell.
