VFW Building Fire

Aftermath of Fire–Fire Department fought hot spots Wednesday morning.

The Levelland Fire Department was called out at just after 5:30pm Tuesday night to a fire at the VFW Building located to the north west of the Levelland City Park area.  Crews were on the scene fighting the blaze for several hours last night.

The Fire Department was also called out again this morning at just before 6:30am to fight a flare up in the rubbish.

Atleast the north end of the building will be a total loss with the remainder of the building suffering major damage as well.  The entire building could be a total loss.  Levelland Fire Chief Bill Durham told KLVT News Wednesday morning that Levelland Fire Marshall Jay McKay continues to investigate the blaze.  He could not confirm or deny if the fire was suspicious in nature.
