Indictments Unsealed by Hockley County Grand Jury After Arrests Made

Five Levelland residents were arrested this week and grand jury indictments were unsealed.

Tanner Black, 28 was indicted for possession of a controlled substance under one gram.  Bond was set at $2,500.

Jimmy Morin, 35 was indicted on a charge of aggrevated assault with a deadly weapon.  He is accused in the assault of Juan Gabrial Sanchez-Vasquez in 2014.  Bond was set at $10,000.

Ramon Villareal, 44 was indicted for forgery of a financial instrument against an elderly person in October of 2015.  Bond was set at $5,000.

San Juana Cortez Lucero, 25 was indicted on two counts of endangerment and abandoning a child as well as criminal negligence.  Bond was set at $2,500.

Jonathan Valderas, 27 was indicted for aggrevated assault with a deadly weapon in a January 2016 incident at Republic of Texas Bar and Grill in Levelland.  Bond was set at $10,000.

All were arrested and released on bond this week.
