Train vs SUV in Lamb County Claims 2nd Life

Texas DPS has confirmed two people are dead and one person remains in critical condition.

The accident occurred near Sudan at around 11am this morning.  Reports state a Chevrolet Equinox failed to yield right of way to the train.  A passenger in the Equinox was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver and another passenger was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital.  The 3 year old passenger died at University Medical Center early yesterday.

47 year old Alicia Molina of Littlefield was the driver of the SUV.  Her and one passenger, a 3 year old was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock.  Molina remains hospitalized in critical condition.

48 year old Ismael Ojeda of Littlefield, the 2nd passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  A 3 year old passenger was pronounced dead early Monday morning at UMC.

The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate.
