Xcel Energy Continues to Work Power Outages–Especially In Eastern New Mexico

This update from Xcel Energy Monday Morning….

As of 8 a.m. CST, Xcel Energy was working to restore power to 4,079 customers in our Texas-New Mexico service area. Of that number, 3,090 customers are in Clovis, N.M. where we are working 177 different outage events. Our resources have been limited in Clovis up to now because the city has been virtually cut off from outside help. With the clearing weather, we are hopeful we can move significant help in today to relieve our employees and customers in Clovis. Some customers there have been without power since Saturday, and our local personnel have been working with very little rest to restore power but have had great difficulty accessing customers because of drifting snow. Within a few hours I hope to update you with the details on the Clovis effort as we know just how many people we will be able to safely deliver to that area.
