Lamb County Electric Reports Outages in Littlefield

According to officials at Lamb County Electric Cooperative of Littlefield, the city is experiencing power outages in approximately 300 homes due to extreme weather conditions.

They say the outage is due to high winds, blowing snow and ice, and low temperatures.

Repair trucks are being pulled behind maintainers and tractors to ensure they reach homes through the snow.

According to the company, snow drifts are as high as 5 feet deep.

They plan to keep their office open until every home has power.  Their office may be contacted at 385-5191.

Officials with Lamb County Electric CoOp  released this statement:

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our members as we work round the clock to restore electricity as quickly as possible.”
