The Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens along with the Garza County Sheriff’s Office and the Lubbock Police Department are investigating a potential drowning that occurred at Lake Allen Henry yesterday.
Early reports from investigators indicate that a 54 year old man from Big Spring had gone out early on Wednesday to check his fishing lines in a kayak. When he did not return shortly, family members began to search the area and found his truck and belongings. Law Enforcement officials were called and the man was found face down in the water next to his kayak, near the shoreline. It is being investigated as a potential drowning at this time according to the Public Information Officer for the Lubbock District of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens Division.
The victims name is being withheld at this time according to investigators.
