Levelland Police Make Traffic Stop Discover Methamphetamine in Vehicle

Levelland Police Department Narcotics units made a traffic stop on Monday in the 800 block of Houston street.

In the course of the stop the officers discovered that the driver had outstanding warrants out of Hockley county.  Officers also discovered two children in the vehicle and one of those was not properly restrained at the time of the traffic stop.  They also found approximately 60 grams of meth amphetamines.

The driver and passenger were arrested.  Both the driver and passenger were charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.  the driver was charged with two counts of endangering a child and criminal negligence.
